Schedule: Week Of 4 May 2009
Even though we managed two sessions on a Monday night three weeks ago, scheduling two sessions on Monday hasn’t worked out over the last two weeks, so I’ll stick to one for next week. The regulars who have confirmed for Turf City over the last two weeks were also able to play at The Cage, while those that confirmed for The Cage weren’t able to play at Turf City, so I’ll stick with The Cage for next Monday.
To follow up on this Saturday’s game at Turf City, I’ll try a Saturday afternoon session at Turf City as a regular session. I’ll try the earlier time slot of 4 to 5 pm, so that anyone who has plans for later in the evening can still make it.
Also, please note the different schedule for next month – based on the availability, Wednesday night is now at Sports Planet while Thursday night is at The Cage.

- Thursday, 7 May 2009, 8.50 pm to 10 .00 pm, at The Cage, Kallang.
- Saturday, 9 May 2009, 3.50 pm to 5 pm at Turf City, Bukit Timah.
Please note that Saturday, 9 May 2009, is the Vesak Day public holiday.
One way of getting a game even if sessions are cancelled is to list the sessions for which you are available (including any preference(s)), and the number of sessions you’d like to play.

Both you and Bobby were available to play Monday and Thursday, but didn’t get a game, which is highly unusual. Bobby left it till next week, I was sensed you were keen to get a game this week, that’s why I game you a call about what else was available this week.
Unfortunately, you can’t make Kevin’s team for the tournament tomorrow either.
Only can play either on Thursday or Saturday
Can you play both or only one?
Preferably only 1. Coz I have short rest days for that week. But If short of people can try ask me to see if I can come for the other game. I think put me on Thursday 1st.

Hi Nick, please fax over your mc to FIOFAFI together with the receipt. There will be reimburement of money spent on doctors. Part of the insurance Rajiv bought for players who are inside the participants list. Take care (pls allow up to 3 working days before money is reimburse.) state account number as well..

hi rajiv – have been resting my legs as my achilles tendons both made it very clear that they needed a break from the footy! anyway hoping another week of rest will see them right so can you put me down for saturday afternoon please? should be okay by then but i may have to pull out later in the week – will let you know by thurs if i am not going to play.

I thought i was already playing tonight . I made arrangement to play tonight and then pick my wife up since she finishes late and its nearer to pick her up .

Anyway, I SMSed Shankar to see if he could switch to Saturday. He replied to say you can take his place. In any event, he got to play on Tuesday only because Nick was on MC, and he’s playing an 11-a-side on Saturday.

What happen to the Prior System that you have mentioned before . I have said if you need players and apparantely there were not enough players at that moment . So i presume once you have the name included , its considered done. Take note that i always have to make arrangements to play in the east when comes to getting clearance from my CEO at home .
And No am not playing on SAt. Shankar could have played today cause he just realised that i could drop him on the way back home. Priority System should be in placed for those who have book their places first . Before removing any players, i think its only fair that he been asked first .
That’s why I suggest that everyone stick with “confirm”. “If you need” normally goes under “in reserve”. The priority system works only if everyone is clear what they mean.
Even under the priority system, it’s either you or Shankar that will get “bumped” as you’re the only two down for tonight who are playing more than once this week.
If we applied the priority system strictly, Shankar confirmed for Thursday before you, but he mistakenly confirmed for Sports Planet, not The Cage (although he did confirm for The Cage by SMS when I pointed it out to him). So who do you think should get the last place?
I asked Shankar, and he was prepared to give up the place. That’s the end of that.
I can’t play on Saturday. Got some stuff to do. Thursday still on.

We only have two so far for this Saturday afternoon at Turf City.
As there isn’t sufficient interest in or availability for a Saturday afternoon session at Turf City this coming Saturday, I might try switching it to Sunday evening. As the Manchester derby kicks off at 8.30 pm, I’ll see if an earlier start is available – 5 to 6 pm or 6 to 7 pm.
Anyone interested if I switched the weekend session from Saturday afternoon to Sunday evening at Turf City, 5 to 6 or 6 to 7 pm?
I SMSed several who I thought might be interested in playing at Turf City or at the weekend, or who didn’t get a game during the week. George, Lukas, Rizal, Poh Keng, Sushil, Yet Yen and I are in. George and Rizal would prefer 6 to 7 pm, Sushil would prefer 5 to 6 pm. (Sushil reminded me of the Manchester derby that kicks off at 8.30 pm on Sunday. He has planned a Manchester derby party.)
I’m waiting for Jye and Nick to confirm. Nick would prefer 5 to 6 pm as well.

Rizal is out injured for tomorrow evening, 5 to 6 pm at Turf City, but LinKang and Look Liew are in. 1 place left. Nick needs to arrange a baby-sitter before he can confirm. We can go up to 12 if necessary.
George is out, and Damian can’t make it, but Look Liew has a friend, Anthony who can play, so still just 1 more for 10.
