Score was 16-5 to the blacks. The scoreline does not reflect how the game goes in the first 40 to 45 mins where the black was leading by 6-4. But with sagnik was saving all the shots and the whites were coming back, it could still go either way. I guess the whites finally succumbed to the pressure and run out of steam in the closing mins of the game. The blacks were quite organised and fluid in their passing and every individuals in the team got a fair share of the goals. Great game, guys and see u guys next week

Thanks Poh Keng. I’m surprised by the scoreline. The one thing you can’t do in our games is stop defending, even when you’re down and trying to get back into the game.

To be fair i expected blacks to run out easy winners – Poh Keng, Ganesh and Melvin all link well together so i thought the sides would be slightly unbalanced in our favour, it was only due to blacks lack of clinical finishing and Sagnik being unbeatable in the nets for a spell that slowed the inevitable, and allowed whites to get back in the game before the final onslaught.

Top marks to whites for never giving up and always trying to stretch blacks on the counter – especially neil and tommy.

Fair enough. I suppose I expected the youth of Tommy and Alex to balance the sides out.

Tommy had previously asked to be on the same side as Alex, and I have kept them together so far, at least while Alex is still relatively new, but it does constrain the line ups a bit.

The purpose of the “Session Previews” is to allow those who play regularly on a particular day to have a say on the line ups.

I don’t know the players as well as those who play regularly. I have to rely primarily on past results, comments on previous sessions and player poll votes.

Perhaps you should have swapped with Melvin L, or Neil M with Ganesh. Don’t feel constrained by my proposed line ups. 🙂

In theory, players can be swapped at the session itself. In practice, that requires everyone to bring both colours.
