It was 9-8 to the black.. Great stuff as you can imagine. We played till 10.15pm until Ganesh’s leg cant take it( actually many of us cant take it). Black scored 2 goals in the last 10 mins showing their hunger to win the game. ganesh was scoring goals and Gilbert was solid at the back with the rest of the black supporting in both attack and defence. It was a fierce battle. The black were deserved winners. Plenty of experience, good passing and organisation. The whites were outplayed for most part of the game but thanks to Tommy’s finishing and the determination of the rest of the whites which made the score so much closer. Hope to see u guys soon. Pick up knee injury n will be out for one or two weeks.

It was an intense and competitive game that bordered on the limit of the physical play, at times crossing this limit.
So I’d like to remind everyone of some of the basic rules that we should all follow to avoid injuries and enjoy a good game of football, win or lose :
    – please no sliding tackle (especially with studs)
    – shoulder-to-shoulder challenges are ok but please exercise restraint when shoulder charging an opponent.
I was the unfortunate recipient of one of the latter, and am fully feeling the pain in my ribs today, hoping it is just a contusion and not a crack.
Now I’m 100% sure there was no nastiness involved and that we all got a bit carried away because it was such a close game.
We all like to win and we all do our best to get the result but it shouldn’t be at anyone’s expense, so again don’t push it, if you need more physical contact there’s a couple of good rugby clubs in Singapore.
    See you all soon.

Sorry to hear of your injury Fred, and I hope it’s not serious.

That sliding tackles are not allowed is provided under the rules and principles, which is required reading before confirming for a session.

More generally, the rules and principles states that reckless tackles are not allowed. Any tackle which carries a real risk of taking out an opponent is reckless, even if the intent is to win the ball.

haha totally disagree with this story. White where after 1 hour the winners and of some kind of reason we played 15 minutes longer. It was a nice game and whites where stronger but black had the beter football skills. But after 1 hour its was 7-8 for white and that was the end. So next time we will see how things would end after 1 hour.
I must say it was one of the best matched i joined. Good skils and nice tactics.

    see you soon!

    cheers tommy
