Reds got hammered 7-1. Whites were the better team and took their chances well, reds had some goal scoring opportunities as well but were unable to finish them. After 3 games, I still find it hard to adapt to the more physical style of you guys and thus added to the red’s woes (excuses..excuses). But I thought later part of the game we played some neat passing, still..no goals to show for. There were a few good players, hard for me to point out the best player of the session.

      Thanks Azmi.

How physical a game is can vary quite a lot from session to session.

I notice that, on average, 5 v 5 sessions at The Cage tend to be more physical as the game is more compact. The pitch is the smallest of all of those on which we play and you can get to your opponent quicker. 4 v 4 works quite well at The Cage, but there are still several who think it will be too tiring, when in fact, if you play to the lines, it slows the game down sufficiently to be very enjoyable.

We were playing another team on Saturday at Turf City, so it was more competitive.

      Try Sports Planet next Wednesday.

How physical a game is also depends who are playing. After a while, you’ll figure out which games might be more physical.

It also takes at least 3 games to get your fitness level up. You’ll find your fitness improves quite quickly the way we play. 🙂

The physical approach needs time to get used to, so does my stamina. But I think after a few more sessions, I should be able to improve.

By the way, I have a team from work that I could hook up a friendly with fiofafi. Getting less active nowadays, but I could try to gather a few of them for 5 a side friendly. Will update you on this.
