Re-Opening Of The Premier Pitch At Turf City

I’ve made further enquiries with The Premier Pitch.   They inform me that the work has been completed, and they’ve obtained the fire safety certificate, but are awaiting approval from the Building & Construction Authority and the Urban Redevelopment Authority.

As stated earlier, I have a booking for a bigger pitch on Saturday, 28 March 2009, from 5 to 6 pm. It would be fun to re-launch Premier Pitch sessions with a 7 or 8-a-side game on a Saturday afternoon.  We previously had a 7-a-side game at The Premier Pitch on Deepavali last year.

Regular Monday night sessions at The Premier Pitch can resume in April.

I’d also like to maintain one Saturday afternoon activity each month.

We had an 11-a-side game on a Saturday afternoon in both January and February.  As an 11-a-side game against IBM as suggested by Damian doesn’t look like it will happen this month, a 7 or 8-a-side game at The Premier Pitch is a suitable alternative.

Those interested in a 7 or 8-a-side game at The Premier Pitch on Saturday, 28 March 2009, 5 to 6 pm, please comment below.

5 confirmed so far – Rajseran, Damian, Sushil, Yuchi and Yaseen.

We need at least 9 more for it to go on.

Nice one – I’ll play 8-a-side on Saturday

Ian can also play on Saturday, so we’re up to 7.

We need at least 7 more for a 7-a-side game.

    Treat a 7 or 8-a-side game as a cross between a 5-a-side and an 11-a-side game.

If we get to 10, we can still go ahead with a 5-a-side game, but it kind of defeats the aim of trying out a 7 or 8-a-side game.

Sure Dennis. Back in town? How long for?

Ian SMSed me to say he’s out, so we only have 6, but with your 5 to 7, we’ll have 11 to 13. I’ll try to get another 1 to 3 more to make 14 to 16.

Would you like your 5 to 7 to be in one team. If you can get 8, and I get 8, we can do a match.

I think u have mistaken me for someone else. This is only my 2nd comment on the blog. If u guys dun mind, I can form a team of 7 or 8 to play.

You’re right, I did mistake you for someone else.

What you have in mind for Saturday afternoon sounds good. If I can get a team of 7 or 8, we can have a match.

Let me put it to the others, and I’ll get back to you later today.

We have another team of 7 or 8 prepared to play against us on Saturday (28 March 2009), 4.50 pm to 6 pm, at The Premier Pitch, Turf City.

We currently have 6 players – Rajseran, Damian, Sushil, Yuchi, Murray, Jujing. I’m not sure Damian can still play after a recurrence of an old injury at last night’s session. We need at least 2 more players to go on with the game.

I’ve moved the proposal summary from Current Schedule to Polls & Other Activities.

    Welcome back Mark.

We’re up to 7. I more player would be good. I’ll play if necessary.

    Saturday’s game is on!

Rajseran is out, and Sushil has asked whether I can find a replacement for him, so it looks like we’re down to 6.

Dennis has confirmed his team are available, so we need 2 more players.

Damian, rest your injury if you need to.

Alan can play, and Rizal is more or less confirmed, so we’re up to 7 even without Damian. Mark has a friend who might be available, so we could go up to 8. The pitch is large enough to manage 8-a-side.

Damian, you’re welcome to come down if you like, and take turns with me.

Please be at the Premier Pitch (Turf City) by 4.45 pm. Rizal, I’ll SMS you to let you know which MRT station I’ll pick you up from.

    We’re wearing white.

    See you all tomorrow.

Mark’s friend can make it, so we’re up to 8.

    Everyone, please be on time.
