FIOFAFI Versus The Cage

Wed 24 December 2008 Leave a comment Go to comments

We played a friendly game against The Cage management from 8 to 9 pm before our usual session last night.

We started with Yaseen, Shankar, Boris, Bobby and me. As Boris and Bobby were scheduled to play the regular session from 9 to 10 pm, Bobby was in goal for much of the first game, while Murray came on for Boris halfway through. Murray later had a spell in goal, while John J came on for Bobby late in the game.

Several of The Cage management as appears on their website, including “Reckless Raj”, “Silver Sanjay” and “Savage”. Other members of the staff also played.

We took and early lead, and although The Cage team had much more of the possession for the remainder of the game, we ran out 9-4 winners.

While the older players on The Cage team played a slower, more intelligent game, the younger players were fast and skillful, often “dancing” with the ball.

However, we were more efficient and effective, defending well, and finishing better. Yaseen also had one mazy run in which he dribbled the ball from defence through almost the entire Cage team before scoring.

Thanks to The Cage for the complimentary game.
