An Online Clubhouse

Thu 11 December 2008 Leave a comment Go to comments

Facebook is fine for social networking, but a blog has the potential for much richer content and greater depth. And the blog is open to all.

Apart from the other functions that this blog serves, it is in a sense an online clubhouse.

If you have a bit of spare time, pop in, add a comment, or respond to a comment by anyone else. To this end, I’ve renamed the Discussion” page as a more informal “Chat” page.

Treat the “Current Schedule” page and the weekly “Schedule” post as a noticeboard where you can sign up for a regular session, and see who has already signed up.

The “Other Activities” page and the monthly “Other Activities” post are like a second noticeboard on which can see what other activities are being proposed for the current month, who else is interested in each activity, and state your interest in the activity (if any).
