A FIOFAFI team took part in the mini-tournament organised by Kevin A from 4 to 6 pm – Tim C, Fred, Neil S, Steve F, Gab.

With 3 teams participating, we had a mini-tournament over 2hrs at Sports Planet. The following represented FIOFAFI – Tim C, Steve, Neil, Fred & Yazid (in place of Gab who couldn’t make it).
The other 2 teams were PMC & Vasantham Star.
Each team played 6 10min games. 3 each against the 2 others teams. The results were:
Round 1
FIOFAFI 3 : 2 Vasantham Star
FIOFAFI 2 : 0 PMC
Vasantham Star 2 : 1 PMC
Round 2
Vasantham Star 4 : 2 FIOFAFI
PMC 2 : 1 FIOFAFI
PMC 1 : 2 Vasantham Star
Round 3
FIOFAFI 3 : 2 Vasantham Star
FIOFAFI 4 : 1 PMC
Vasantham Star 5 : 3 PMC
Final Standings:
1. FIOFAFI – 12 points (+4 goal difference)
2. Vasantham Star – 12 points (+ 4 goal difference)
3. PMC – 3 points (-8 goal difference)
By virtue that FIOFAFI beat Vasantham Star twice in their 3 encounters, FIOAFI was proclaimed champions of the mini-tournament. It was a good workout for everyone and the breaks in-between games proved useful to talk about tactics/formation and prepare for upcoming games.
