Saturday Afternoon At Sports Planet: 7 November 2009

Kevin A’s booking from 4 to 5 pm ended up as a representative game.  The FIOFAFI team were:  Tim C, Steve F, Neil S, John S, Kevin A.

According to Kevin:

The FIOFAFI 5 … took on 8 ‘much younger’ guys from PMC. The scoring started with PMC taking a 1-0 then 2-0 lead. After some organisation and nice moves, FIOFAFI fired in 2 goals to pull it back to 2-2. From there, scoring went back and forth till 4-4. That was when the PMC guys started to pull away, going ahead 7-4, then 8-5. The closest FIOFAFI got after that was 10-6. The final score was 12-6.

We put together some nice flowing moves at times and Steve F scored a spectacular long range goal, catching the PMC keeper off his line from almost the other end of the pitch. However, some slack defending allowed PMC too many 1-on-1 situations against our keeper, which they put away.
