Alternative Arrangements: 7 To 15 November 2009

As stated earlier, there are no routine sessions scheduled from 24 October to 15 November 2009.
The alternative arrangements for 7 to 15 November 2009 are:
- Kevin A has arranged a representative game tomorrow (Saturday, 7 November 2009) from 4 to 5 pm at Sports Planet. The booking tomorrow from 5 to 6 pm at Sports Planet has been cancelled due to insufficient players.
- There is a representative game against Dennis W’s team on Sunday, 8 November 2009, from 5 to 6 pm at Turf City. Rajseran has put together a team.
- The FAFI game on Monday night (9 November 2009) at Turf City is full. The booking at The Cage on the same day will be cancelled as there are no takers.
- There is a booking on Tuesday, 10 November 2009, from 9 to 10 pm, at The Cage (Pitch 3).
- There is a booking on Wednesday, 11 November 2009, from 9 to 10 pm, at Sports Planet. Alex F is in. Azmi is interested. Mark T’s team wouldn’t mind another representative game. As Sushil is away, who would like to take over?
- There is a booking on Thursday, 12 November 2009, from 9 to 10 pm, at The Cage (Pitch 3).
- There is a booking on Saturday, 14 November 2009, from 5 to 6 pm, at Sports Planet.
- There is a booking on Sunday, 15 November 2009, from 5 to 6 pm, at Turf City (big pitch).
Would anyone like to take over the Tuesday and Thursday bookings? Otherwise, it could fill up on the blog the Thursday game this week.
Those taking over the bookings can either leave the places to be filled on the blog or SMS the regulars to see if they are playing. The updated telephone list was circulated with the last e-mail on Friday, 23 October 2009. The Sports Planet games in particular don’t usually fill up on the blog alone.
Line up and colours will also be left to the persons taking over. It’s useful to SMS those playing on the day itself to inform them of their colour, and so that they remember to turn up.

Representative Game against PMC (7 Nov 4pm)
The FIOFAFI 5 of Tim C, Steve F, Neil S, John S and Kevin A took on 8 ‘much younger’ guys from PMC. The scoring started with PMC taking a 1-0 then 2-0 lead. After some organisation and nice moves, FIOFAFI fired in 2 goals to pull it back to 2-2. From there, scoring went back and forth till 4-4. That was when the PMC guys started to pull away, going ahead 7-4, then 8-5. The closest FIOFAFI got after that was 10-6. The final score was 12-6.
We put together some nice flowing moves at times and Steve F scored a spectacular long range goal, catching the PMC keeper off his line from almost the other end of the pitch. However, some slack defending allowed PMC too many 1-on-1 situations against our keeper, which they put away.

I have a booking on 14th Nov @ Sports Planet East Coast from 4 – 6pm.
Based on feedback at last week’s session, I am trying to organise a mini-tournament of sorts between 3 teams, 1 of which will represent FIOFAFI.
There will be multiple games over the 2hr session, so the team can have more than 5 players, with players rotating as starters/subs for the various games.
So far confirmed would be Tim C.
