About a month ago, Philipp suggested a mini-tournament at the weekend.
We had a mini knock-out tournament before the Champions League Final, after midnight on Thursday, 28 May 2009.
The other two mini-tournaments we’ve had were mini-leagues that arose impromptu on weekday nights when the numbers wanting to play rose substantially above 10, and a second pitch was available at the same venue.
We now have our routine Sunday evening sessions from 5 to 6 pm at Turf City. I have two pitches from 5 to 6 pm this Sunday, 26 July 2009, so we can have up to 24 players – 4 teams of 6, playing in a mini-league format.
Sushil and Dilesh are so keen, they’ve already put their names down. I assume Philipp is in as well.
If we don’t get more than 12, we’ll go ahead with a routine session.
As we’re having the mini-tournament on Sunday, we won’t have a routine session on Saturday.
