Session Previews: 14 To 19 July 2009

The session previews now covers the weekend sessions as well.

Once the players for each mid-week session are finalized, the names of those confirmed will either be added as a comment below, or can be ascertained from the Routine Schedule page.

Any two regulars can pick their teams provided that they are not on the same team and agree on the method (”the selection method”).  A simple method would be to take turns to pick players for their team.

Either of the two can then put up the line ups as a comment below on behalf of both of them.

If no line ups are agreed based on the selection method, the players will be seeded based on their rankings, and paired based on their seedings.  Each pair of seeds will be in opposing teams.  A default sequence will be used to allocate each pair to a team, but a pair may swap round to try to keep the sides balanced.

Players can also be swapped by agreement.  Players who are swapped after the session starts will be treated as having played in a drawn game regardless of the actual outcome of the session.  The other players in the session will receive ranking points basesd on the actual result.

Weekend Schedule: 18 & 19 July 2009

We’ve had good turn outs for the last two Sunday evenings at Turf City (including an extra game last Sunday).

We also had a routine session the Saturday before last.  We didn’t have one last Saturday as we an 11-a-side game lined up.  The 11-a-side game didn’t go on in the end.  Amongst other things, we didn’t have enough players.

We don’t have players for the 11-a-side game proposed for this Saturday either, so I’ll go ahead and schedule routine sessions for both Saturday and Sunday evenings:

• Saturday, 18 July 2009, 4.50 pm to 6.00 pm, at Sports Planet, East Coast.
• Sunday, 19 July 2009, 4.50 pm to 6.00 pm, at The Premier Pitch, Turf City.

Confirmations below as usual. If either is over-subscribed, priority is for one.

As the weekend sessions are relatively new, I’ll probably end up SMSing a fair bit as well.
