I was thinking of finally getting round to Cage cricket next Saturday, but whatever interest there had been appears to have waned. Further, asking around, there currently doesn’t seem to be a sufficiently broad interest for a game of Cage cricket to take place. As we don’t have sufficient numbers, I’ll put it on hold indefinitely.

I think there is only sufficient interest for a couple of 11-a-side games in a quarter. We didn’t get enough players for an 11-a-side yesterday afternoon. Let’s see if we get enough players for a re-match against the British Club’s 2nd XI next Saturday.

Our core activity remains 5 or 6-a-side indoor football (not really futsal), now up to 6 sessions a week.
Numbers for Sunday evenings at Turf City have grown since we started regular weekend sessions at Turf City on 10 May 2009.
Following up on Philipp’s suggestion, we can have a mini-tournament on Sunday, 26 July 2009, from 5 to 6 pm, at Turf City. With four teams of 6 each, we can have up to 24 players.
If anyone wants extras, like food/drink or prizes, let me have the estimated cost, and if reasonable, I’ll factor that into the total cost.

With the “success” of FIOFAFI, I’ve been asked whether I can help organize a regular game of floorball for a group of women hockey players at Valhall, the facilities next to the Cage.
As always, the best way to keep it regular and sustainable is to have a bigger pool of participants.
Mixed sessions would certainly increase the pool of participants, so if any of you are interested, add your comment below.

Sushil and Dilesh are in for the mini-tournament next Sunday.
I presume Philipp is in as well.
A separate post will go up on Monday.

Mani SMSed this afternoon:
We have our routine session from 5 to 6 pm at Turf City the same evening, but if anyone prefers playing 2 hours at The Cage, it’s available.
