FIOFAFI

Regular indoor football, sport and other activity for working adults in Singapore

OPSAGE: 5 July 2009

Other projects, sports, activities, games and events.

Poh Keng SMSed me earlier this evening to say:

[Erik] and I got some friends who would like to form up six man team to play against fiofafi team next sun at the same time.  Is that possible?

Today’s session was oversubscribed – two others SMSed me earlier today to ask if there were places, and I could have played as well.   A regular session at weekends only started two months ago.

We also had our first regular Saturday session at Sports Planet yesterday.  It now looks like we could have a regular session on Saturday, one on Sunday, and even an extra session on Sunday.

Next weekend is complicated by the proposed 11-a-side game on Saturday afternoon.  I wasn’t planning to do a regular session next Saturday due to the 11-a-side, but I thought I’d go ahead with a regular session on Sunday.  I suggested to Poh Keng that the game against his friends be the following week, but he informs me that they will be away for a while.

What I’ll do for next Sunday is have the game against Poh Keng’s team from 5 to 6 pm at Turf City, and have  a regular session from 6 to 7 pm after that.  I can’t get two pitches at Turf City from 5 to 6 pm.

The game against Poh Keng’s team would come under “Challenges”.

I’ll have to figure out how the 6 for the FIOFAFI team are to be selected.  Based on rankings is one way.
