Schedule: Week Of 15 December 2008
To cater for those who live in the west, the session on Monday, 15 December 2008, is at FICO, 9 to 10 pm. Can one (or all) of Rajseran, Damian, Boris, Mark C (or even Tom), sign up as a member on the day itself (if not before)? They’ve told me the rate for members is S$80 per hour (which is the same rate we pay at The Cage, Sports Planet @ East Coast and Turf City). If any of you can negotiate a better rate on the day, good.
We’ve managed four sessions this week, so we’ll stick with four sessions next week, even though there are a few injuries around. I believe a few who haven’t played for a while will be back from injuries or other activities next week. The three other sessions next week are:
- Tuesday, 16 December 2008, 9 to 10 pm, The Cage (Kallang).
- Wednesday, 17 December 2008, 9 to 10 pm, The Cage (Kallang).
- Thursday, 18 December 2008, 9 to 10 pm, Sports Planet @ East Coast.
10 each for all sessions.

Just re-checked with FICO. Membership is S$85.60, but you get 1 peak hour free, so effectively, you pay S$85.60 for Monday’s session. I think the additional S$5.60 is GST. If they are charging GST, then they’re slightly more expensive than the other venues.
Philipp, if Dirk can invite May along, she can watch the game next Wednesday. It’s obvious some of the guys (that is, Rajseran) are desperate to meet her!

Anyway May , if you want to play , i have another group that i play with at times on Saturdays at Chua Chu Kang Sports Complex , we have about 3 gals that plays with us regulary . If distance is not an issue , let me know . i can advice the guys to sms you whenever we are playing.

Boris, the booking is in my name. I informed them that one of you would become a member. They first insisted on online booking, which means paying when you book. I told them about the arrangement I have with the other venues, where I book first, but if we don’t get enough people and I need to cancel, I will give them at least 24 hours notice. They relented and allowed me to make the booking, on my giving my word.
When you become a member, just remind them of the arrangement. You can actually leave it to Monday, since the booking is already confirmed.
Give me some of wednesday please!

you are not buying a COUNTRY CLUB MEMBER . Anyone can be a member but because you are staying opposite , it will be much easier for you to book for us when we play on mondays . Until the day you leave Singapore , i will take over from there.

Rajseran, why don’t you sign up as a member on Monday night itself? The booking is already made, and the membership is just so that we can get the S$80 an hour rate rather than have to pay S$100 an hour. You’ll get the session free by joining, so just collect each person’s share as usual.

hi rajiv i got injured yesterday due to opponents robust approach ; ) Actually i already strained my thigh muscle on wednesday and aggravate it further yesterday. it best i rest for a few days. Monday i am out. If i have still not recovered by wednesday i will keep u informed. for now exempt me from monday’s clash.. thanks
We have 6 for FICO on Monday, but we still need 4 more, and a lot of the Monday regulars are out. 2 of the 4 who actually live in the west are out injured too.
Whats with the number of injuries? I thought no more slide tackles. Anyway If you need extra players for the week I can play. Probably will need transport from a nearby MRT station (lavender, kallang, etc.) though.
Boris, I can pick you up from Kallang MRT for Tuesday at The Cage and from Kembangan MRT for Thursday at East Coast, so I’ll put you down for both.
If we don’t have enough people for Monday’s session, it will have to be cancelled.

If we moved Monday’s session to The Cage, would we have more or less players?
i can’t play monday, venue wouldn’t be a worry for me. In fact i would prefer to play at FICO to try it out
How about Sunday night at FICO then? (see Comment No. 42 above). 6 to 7 pm. If some of Franco’s colleagues can play, we might get to 10.

Monday’s session is cancelled, but we’re on for tomorrow (Sunday, 14 Dec 2008), 6 to 7 pm at FICO. It is $60 for an hour at the weekend.
